Recently, I have passed the entire stuffy series, Sekiro, Bloodborne, even Lies of P, and now I got to the ring – namely, I went through Elden Ring.
There may be spoilers ahead, if it is still relevant, but if that – I warned.

What in the end I can say after a hundred hours of overcoming the last creation of Fromom in this genre – it was great, but not without “but”. And first of all I liked: the development of systems, battles, camera, mobility, responsiveness of control, adding new mechanics and their synergy. Everything is done at the highest level, and even the horse, in the end, turned out to be very good. The variability of the passage of an enncaunter, like the flexibility of the character, has increased significantly, which, in my opinion, is one of the most important criteria of the genre.

Readability and purity of textures and animations, elaboration of the hitboxes (with rare exceptions), the verification of colors and effects (although the effects were a couple of times overbuilding), all this makes it possible to plunge into a stream state, without being distracted by extraneous noise. The variety of boss attacks harmoniously and often adequately combine in themselves as complex ligaments, so the windows for attack, make battles rich and interesting.

In my opinion, Elden is a game -mechanically – this is another big step in the development.

And if we talk about the mechanics, then here to recall the place of a manage, which is largely the personification of systems. Yes, of course, the phrase “I am Malenia. Two of divine skin also look ridiculous and boring, the feeling of this boss is more likely from a plug, in the place of which they did not come up with anything interesting. The next is the pace and the volume that generates its. The very idea of ​​pulling Soulslike with the manner of presenting the plot of the open world in the open world is interesting, and the world turned out not to say what is bad, then here and there you can stumble upon something useful, or even a whole chain of quests. But the pace confuses this monstrously, which makes a feeling of fierce protractedness. And yes, of course, you can pass the game without wrapping at all for side effects, but I do not want to lose so much content in the first passage.

The low-controlled pumping of the character climbs from the same problem, and if everything is clear with complex locations, they bite you once by the face once, and you do not return to them until the middle of the game (well, or you really like pain, but this is a separate story). And this is perhaps the main thing that caught my eye. There are questions for some locations, in some places of the wedge are strangely scattered, the dungeons are too the same. I won’t say anything much about repeating bosses, although I managed to meet three macars in a row, this did not cause any rejection. With the existing perfectly honed battles, this is rather a chance to try something new or just light mining runes. And probably this can describe all my sensation from the game.

I liked it, this is a well -assembled product in which it is nice to be, it is convenient, it gives emotions, gives tension, gives euphoria from victories, it has an atmosphere in which each part of the game is permeated. But a sense of incompleteness is sharpening from all sides, and not because the world is incomplete, not at all, I rather talk about the emotion that led me from the location of the dying world Dark Souls or the growing madness of Yarnaam, but in Elden I could not catch this thin thread.

Based on everything described, I can understand why she has such sales and why such grades, and why this is a game of the year. She worthy of this title, but Elden could not supplant the same Darka from her place in my heart. Let’s see what will happen in DLC
